What's new at Sinister Tombs Haunted House for 2023? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We have worked all summer repairing the damaged done in March from severe storms that took roofs off of building and done over $25,000.00 dollars worth of damage, but know you can not tell it even happen, new props and lighting, new scares.

What are you most excited about for the 2023 Halloween Season?

Seeing the faces of our customers screaming throught the woods, fields and into the cemetary.

What differentiates Sinister Tombs Haunted House from other local haunts in Kentucky?

We give all the profits to charity, we have an all volunteer cast, and so they are here because they love halloween, never have enough good acting souls, if you want to became a Lord Sinister Minion call us, always looking for souls.

How long has Sinister Tombs Haunted House been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Sinister Tombs Haunted House's history?

Sinister Tombs haunted house has been around since 2001, we have run every year even through covid. Sinister Tombs was opened to raise money for local charities, now we raise money for way too many charities to list here.

What's your favorite experience since opening Sinister Tombs Haunted House?

We have bus loads of people come to Sinister Tombs, my favorite is the kids, some groups every year we wave the admission fee so they can go through, kids with ruff lives that are in state custody, and need some fun and scares.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Sinister Tombs Haunted House from start to finish?

It depends on how fast you can run and not get caught, but to a serious note it takes the average group from 30 to 45 minutes depending on you, you will be given tasks and rules, follow and choice well you can make it out.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Sinister Tombs Haunted House is? Why?

Look at facebook and see Exit to Adventures posting, I would not know were to say we rate on the scary meter, but we have surveys people fill out at the end of the haunted house and they say we are the scarest they have been to with about 80% say that. But we do have tone down groups where will not scare you too bad. We recommend for younger kids.

Does Sinister Tombs Haunted House's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

Sinister Tombs is on haunted ground in 1913 2 gentlemen has been working all day on fencing the property, that night they had set down and ate super with a camp fire on the property when they were ready to head out for the night, one said to the other one I do not like what you done to my dog, shot and killed him on the spot. to this day people say they see the man, some of my actors are afraid to work certain areas without someone beside them.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I opened the Haunted House after running one as a fund raiser for the Local fire department, I opened Sinister Tombs to raise money for local k-9 search and rescue unit but took 3 years just to start making a slime profit and another 3 years to make enough profit to really help. I love to see the people have fun, I enjoy screams or laughs either make me happy as long as people are entertained.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Sinister Tombs Haunted House?

We done not use many, I prefer actors, no animatronic will ever replace a good actor. we have great actors.

Can Sinister Tombs Haunted House accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Sinister Tombs Haunted House together as a group?

The fire marshal limits are number to groups size max. 8 people, but can only go 6 with very large people. I hated it at first but now think it gives for a better experience because face it no one wants go through in groups of 20 or 40.

Does Sinister Tombs Haunted House offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

We give group discounts for more than 10 people, again at more than 20 and great discounts for 40, Changes depending on how close to Holloween. Call us for current prices.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Sinister Tombs Haunted House?

We are voolunteer run, not-for-profit, but a fund raiser for other groups, we have provided AED for churchs and for other charity groups, we provide replacement batteries, and pads for these devices, we in some cases are 100% of the money some of the Search & Rescue groups receive every year unless they go out and do bake sales and other type fund raiser, the more we raise the less they have to do those activities and can worry about saving lives.
