Home to a variety of historical items and artifacts, museums are a well known hot-spot for paranormal activity. It's widely believed that some spirits latch on, or tether themselves to items that were of great importance to them before passing, and as home to numerous historical artifacts, it's no wonder that some spirits make their home at museums! The Henry Clay Estate, also known as Ashland, is a historic home that is believed to be haunted by Henry Clay himself. His ghost has been spotted, complete with a white hair and a black frock coat. Built by John Wesley Hunt in 1814, this home now operates as a museum that is believed to be haunted. Hunt's apparition has been spotted, along with that of a former nurse to the Hunt children, Mammy Bouviette James. Now operating as a museum, this historic stone cottage was formerly built in the early 19th Century by a family of emigrants.
